Fiscardo is a famous little village on the northernmost tip of Kefalonia.
It is situated at the part of the island that was little to none affected by the earthquake of 1953 and for that reason most of the buildings preserve their traditional local architecture & design, and give to its visitors a glimpse of the past.
Grand mansions with elegant balconies, old two-storey houses with dark redtiled rooftops, little stone paved alleys, flowers in every corner and view of all-green hillsides & emerald waters are just a few of the things any visitor can witness to this enchanting place.
This picturesque village is also the home town of the famous Greek poet Nikos Kavvadias who is known as the poet of the sea.

In the late 15th century, a castle/fortress was built on the top of the hill by the Venetians, in order to protect the inhabitants from pirate raids. Nowadays, there are only remnants of the walls, the internal area of the castle and the church of San Marco.

Skala is a beautiful sea side village & noted holiday resort that is situated on the southern-east part of Kefalonia. During the last couple of decades especially, due to its amazing position by the sea and its marvelous long sandy beach, Skala turned into one of the major vacation hotspots of the island.
Skala has a really wonderful 3 kilometers long beach with both sand & small white pebbles along with amazing crystal blue waters. Some parts of the beach are equipped with sunbeds & umbrellas and some others are more secluded giving a little more privacy & quiet especially during the high season.
Roaming around Skala, visitors can enjoy their time shopping in the little shops around the village, tasting the local & mediterranean flavours in the many restaurants & tavernas, having a drink or coffee, relaxing under the pine trees at the little pine forest close to the beach & visiting archaeological sights like the Roman villa.

Argostoli is filled with various types of entertainment (shops, cafes, bars & restaurants, beaches in close distance etc.), areas of cultural interest (DeBosset bridge – a 690m long pedestrianised stone bridge that connects the two sides of Argostoli bay and that was made in the 1800’s, Korgialenios folklore museum, “Kampana” square etc) and places for nature lovers (“Koutavos lagoon”, Botanical garden and the beautiful promenade along the port of Argostoli ‘till the lighthouse of “Agioi Theodoroi” & the area of “Katavothres” where it occurs the special phenomenon of the “sinkholes”.)
